You can turn off the flashing of the security detector’s LED indicator in the device settings. This option is available for DoorProtect, DoorProtect Plus, MotionProtect, MotionProtect Plus, CombiProtect, MotionProtect Outdoor, MotionCam, and GlassProtect detectors with firmware version 5.55.0.0 or higher, as well as for MotionProtect Curtain with firmware version 6.53.1.1 or higher.

DualCurtain Outdoor and MotionCam Outdoor have no restrictions on the firmware version — you can turn off the alarm indication for detectors of any version.

With OS Malevich 2.9 update, temporary deactivation of devices without removing them from the system has become available. Deactivation may be necessary if the device is incorrectly installed or configured, loses connection with hub, or is defective.

To deactivate a device, go to its settings (Ajax appDevices tab → select the device you needSettings Temporary Deactivation).

Tamper is a miniature button on the device board. It is released when the lid is opened as well as a result of an attempt to unfasten and/or lift the device from the surface, which initiates an event.

When the tamper is released, the Hub sends push notifications and SMS messages (if this type of notification is enabled) to all users of the security system and also communicates the event to the central monitoring station of the security company.

If the tamper is released, Ajax applications display the Open status in the Lid field of the device menu. In addition, a malfunction badge appears on the device icon.

Each device measures temperature independently with an internal sensor. Air circulation in a room, along with other factors, may cause slight inconsistencies in the measured temperatures. The temperature displayed in the Rooms tab is an average of all the detectors in a given room and can differ from environmental temperature by 2-4°C.

The QR-code is located next to the power button, under the cover on the rear side of the detector. You can also find the QR-code on the box the device came in.

The maximum distance between the Hub and the detector can reach up to 2000 meters in open spaces. Walls, ceilings and other structures between Hub and the detector, reduce the range of action several times. In this case, the maximum distance depends on the material, thickness, and configuration of the walls.

To check that the device is operating correctly, carry out the detection area and signal strength tests.

The detection area tests allow you to determine the distance at which the detector will detect alarms and protect it from false triggering. In test mode, the LED indicator lights up continuously, switching off during the alarm. In order to determine the detection area, use the device’s LED indicator as a guide.

The Jeweller signal strength test allows to determine signal strength and stability in the potential installation place of the device.

The detector is designed to be installed indoors only. Installing the motion detector outdoors can cause false alarms as well as failure of the device. In case of failure to comply with temperature conditions, the battery life may be significantly reduced.

The detector is set to Always Active. If you don’t need this level of security, you can turn it off in the detector settings.

Yes, you can. The detector is compatible with wired and wireless systems using ocBridge Plus or uartBridge.

By default, the hub is set to a hub–detector ping interval of 36 seconds and 30 undeliverable data packets to consider the device lost. With these settings, the hub will detect the loss of the detector in 18 minutes.

To reduce this time, go to the hub settings in the Jeweller section and change the settings. The minimum time for detecting loss of connection with the device is 36 seconds (3 polls of 12 seconds each).

The time before raising the alarm by the communication loss between hub and device is calculated with the following formula:

Ping interval * (number of undelivered packets + 1 correction packet).

Note that with the minimum ping interval, short-term interference can lead to loss of connection with the device. Therefore, set the minimum values only if it is critically important to promptly inform about events in the system.

The loop (zone) number is required to add a guarded facility to the CMS along with descriptions of all devices connected to the hub.

The loop (zone) number is available in the settings after activating the group mode in the Ajax application:

  1. Hub Settings Groups

Having selected a group, you will see a list of its devices. Each device has a Device No. (or DeviceIndex in Ajax PRO Desktop) that corresponds to the loop (zone) number. A number is assigned when a device is attached to the Hub. The first added device has the first loop (zone) number.

After a device or a detector is removed, its number will be assigned to the next added device. However, the numbering of other devices will not change.

How to find out the device identifier (ID)

The identifier (ID or serial number) of the device can be found out in the Ajax app or on the box of the device.

How to find out the ID in an Ajax app

  1. Sign in to the Ajax app.
  2. Select the required hub from the list if you have several of them or if you are using a PRO app.
  3. Go to the Devices menu.
  4. Select a device from the list. Device ID information is located at the bottom of the status screen.

How to find out the device firmware version

The firmware version of the device can be found in the Ajax apps. In order to obtain it:

  1. Sign in to the Ajax app.
  2. Select the required hub from the list if you have several of them or if you are using a PRO app.
  3. Go to the Devices menu.
  4. Select a device from the list. The firmware version information is located on the status screen at the bottom.

To set a delay when entering/leaving, in an Ajax app:

  1. Select the required hub if you have several of them or if you are using the PRO app.
  2. Go to the Devices tab.
  3. Select the required device or detector on which you want to set the alarm delay.
  4. Go to its settings by clicking the gear icon in the upper right corner.
  5. Specify the required parameters in the fields:
    • Delay When Entering
    • Delay When Leaving
    • Delay When Entering for the Night mode (if Night mode is activated)
    • Delay When Leaving for the Night mode (if Night mode is activated)
  6. Click Back to save the settings.

For sirens to notify about delays when entering/leaving, in an Ajax app:

  1. Select the required hub if you have several of them or if you are using the PRO app.
  2. Go to the Devices tab.
  3. Select the required siren.
  4. Go to its settings by clicking the gear icon in the upper right corner.
  5. Go to the Notification Settings menu.
  6. Specify the required parameters in the Delay Notifications menu:
    • When entering
    • When leaving
    • When entering for the Night mode
    • When leaving for the Night mode
  7. Click Back to save the settings.

Go to the Devices tab , select the detector, go to the settings . Next, activate Always Active mode. Now the detector will remain active, even when the Hub is disarmed.
