How to replace batteries in KeyPad Combi?

Updated

To replace the batteries in KeyPad Combi:

  1. Unscrew the fixing screw from the bottom of the keypad.
  2. Remove the keypad from the SmartBracket mounting panel.
  3. Turn off KeyPad Combi with the button.
  4. Unscrew the 4 screws (PH0) and remove the back panel of the device.
  5. Install 4 new CR123A batteries observing the correct polarity. We recommend installing the following batteries to ensure that the Ajax device operates for the calculated time:
    • Panasonic CR123A Industrial Lithium Battery, 3 V (item model number — 4330203048, manufacturer — Indonesia).
    • Huiderui CR123A, 3 V, 1,600 mAh, LiMn02.

If other batteries are installed, the operating time may differ from the calculated time.

Do not install used, old, or damaged batteries. It is not recommended to install batteries from different manufacturers.

  6. Reattach the back lid of the keypad and tighten the screws.
  7. Turn on the keypad, and check the battery status in the app. Note that updating the battery status and other keypad parameters depends on the Jeweller settings; the default value is 36 seconds.
  8. Reattach the keypad to the SmartBracket mounting panel.
  9. Check the keypad operation after replacing the batteries by arming and disarming the security system.

When holding the keypad in your hands or using it on a table, we cannot guarantee that the touch buttons will work properly.

  10. If everything works correctly, secure the keypad with the fixing screw.
