Multisiren feature in Superior Jeweller: removing the siren limit

Updated

With the release of wireless Grade 3 devices, Ajax Systems has improved device radio communication by implementing advanced encryption and enhanced frequency hopping. It has also removed the limit on the number of sirens that can be added to a hub — a capability now referred to as the multisiren feature. The upgraded radio protocol is called Superior Jeweller.

This article describes how the new system logic of the multisiren feature works.

System requirements

The multisiren feature requires that all involved devices in the system, such as a hub, range extenders, sirens, and keypads with built-in buzzers, support it.

Sirens and keypads that do not support the feature can also be added to the hub, but the existing limits on their number still apply.

Hubs and range extenders

The following hubs and range extenders can work with any number of sirens within the total device limit:

Sirens

Any number of sirens with the following firmware versions or later can be added to the system within the hub’s device limit.

Device Firmware Available from
Superior StreetSiren Plus G3 Jeweller All versions 05.02.2026
Superior HomeSiren G3 Jeweller All versions 26.02.2026
Superior StreetSiren DoubleDeck Jeweller 10.66.4.1 01.05.2026
Superior StreetSiren Plus Fibra TBC Coming soon
Superior StreetSiren DoubleDeck Fibra 8.64.1.0 01.05.2026
Superior StreetSiren Fibra 8.64.1.0 01.05.2026
Superior HomeSiren Fibra 7.64.15.0 01.04.2026

Other sirens not listed in the table above do not support the multisiren feature — only 10 sirens can be added to a single hub.

Keypads with a built-in buzzer

Any number of keypads with a built-in buzzer with the following firmware versions or later can be added to the system within the hub’s device limit.

Superior KeyPad TouchScreen Fibra TBC Coming soon
Superior KeyPad Outdoor Fibra TBC Coming soon

Other keypads with a built-in buzzer not listed in the table above do not support the multisiren feature — only 50 keypads can be added to a single hub.

Operating principle

The multisiren feature is an enhancement to the alarm propagation algorithm that activates sirens when an alarm is triggered. Previously, the system had the limitation: “It is possible to add no more than 10 sirens to one hub.” This was required to ensure that every siren in the system sounds an alarm without delay. Now, the enhanced algorithm allows any number of sirens to be activated immediately.

Thanks to the enhanced alarm propagation algorithm, the only limitation on the number of sirens is the total number of devices a specific hub supports.

Also, the enhanced algorithm does not affect the operation of the sirens that do not support the multisiren feature. Both types of sirens can be added to a single hub.

Combining devices with and without the multisiren feature support

If multisiren-compatible and non-compatible sirens and keypads are added to a single hub, the system normally operates with both types of devices at the same time. All sirens and keypads can simultaneously execute all system-defined actions and commands.

Users can add any number of multisiren-compatible devices to the hub. The limit for sirens and keypads that do not support the feature remains unchanged. For example, a user can add up to 10 sirens that do not support the multisiren feature and an unlimited number of sirens that support it to a single hub within the hub’s device limit.

If the maximum number of devices that do not support the feature has already been added to the hub, the system will inform the user when they attempt to add more such devices.
