How to create and apply settings templates in an Ajax system

An Ajax system allows PROs to create templates to quickly apply several settings at once.

No more than 100 templates can be created for one company.

How to create a video device settings template

To create a video settings template, in the Ajax PRO Desktop app:

  1. Go to the Company tab.
  2. Go to the Settings templates menu.
  3. Click the button to add a template or the Create template button if no templates have been created yet.
  4. Select the Video devices menu.
  5. Enter the template name and description.
  6. Select the device groups for which you want to create a template: NVRs, Native wired cameras, Doorbells, and Wi-Fi cameras.
  7. Select the settings you want to include in the template. These settings will be applied to all devices of the selected group, if supported. The list of available settings varies depending on the device group. To learn more about the settings, refer to the user manual of the corresponding video device.
  8. Set the required parameters for the selected settings.
  9. Click Create template.

How to apply a video device template

The installer of the company that created the template can apply it using the mobile Ajax PRO app.

To apply the template, in the Ajax PRO app:

  1. Select the space if you have more than one.
  2. Go to the space settings by clicking on the gear icon.
  3. Tap Settings templates.
  4. Select a template from the list.
  5. The device groups to which the selected template applies will be displayed. Tap Select devices.
  6. Select devices from this group to apply the corresponding template. You can find devices by name or ID, or filter them by device group, room, or security group. Tap Apply to [device number] devices.

After applying the template, a corresponding notification will appear on the screen.

How to create a telephony settings template

To create a telephony settings template, in the Ajax PRO Desktop app:

  1. Go to the Company tab.
  2. Go to the Settings templates menu.
  3. Click the button to add a template or the Create template button if no templates have been created yet.
  4. Select the Telephony settings menu.
  5. Enter the template name and description.
  6. In the Connection type menu, specify which connection type to use for calls via voice modules.
  7. Go to the Company connection details menu.
  8. Fill in the telephony settings:
    • Company name — displayed in events accompanying each communication with the company via the voice module.
    • Company SIP extension.
    • Address — IP or domain name.
    • Port.
    • STUN server — IP or domain name.
    • STUN port.
  9. To save the settings, click Save.

How to apply a telephony settings template

The installer of the company that created the template can apply it using the Ajax PRO and Ajax PRO Desktop apps.

To apply the template, in the Ajax PRO or Ajax PRO Desktop app:

  1. Select the space if you have more than one.
  2. Go to the Devices tab.
  3. Select a hub from the list.
  4. Go to the Settings menu by clicking on the gear icon.
  5. Select the Telephony settings option.
  6. Go to the Choose template menu.

    The Choose template menu is available if there is at least one template configured in the system.

  7. Select a template from the list.
  8. If necessary, review the template settings in the Company connection details menu.
  9. Apply the settings by clicking the Apply template button.

After applying the template, a corresponding notification will appear on the screen.
