The external power for Superior KeyPad TouchScreen Fibra is for:

• The Always active display function.
• Constant LED indication.

The external power supply also reduces the power consumption from the hub¹ and is recommended for audible signals longer than 30 seconds.

¹ External power supply does not increase the maximum communication range.
