What determines the selection of the Superior DoorProtect G3 Fibra masking sensitivity

Updated

The sensitivity level of the magnetic masking sensor depends on the Superior DoorProtect G3 Fibra detector installation site, i.e. on the presence of probable sources of false triggerings.

This can cause false triggerings of the magnetic masking sensor:

  1. Sliding systems and roller shutter due to prolonged magnet sliding over the detector during closing/opening.
  2. Doors with a door closer due to prolonged magnet sliding over the detector during closing/opening. The distance between the detector and a third-party electromagnet (e.g., a door closer) must be more than 1 cm.
  3. Safe doors due to their heavy weight. Prolonged magnet sliding over the detector during closing/opening can cause false triggerings.
  4. Window ventilation mode. When the window is opened for ventilation, the detector approaches its magnet and may perceive it as an attempt to mask it. To avoid false triggerings, install the detector on the upper part of the window.

To avoid false triggerings, the Low or Normal sensitivity level should be set. If you do not have any sources of false triggerings, and it is important to detect any threats as quickly as possible, you can set the High sensitivity level.
