FAQ

You can use an empty space for 180 days from the date the space was created or from the date the last device was deleted. After this period, an empty space will be deleted.

To avoid space configuration loss, the system sends a notification after 173 days from the date the space was created or from the date the last device was deleted.

The system will delete the empty space even if it is armed. The user can delete the empty space only when the system is disarmed. When the space is deleted (automatically or manually), its events are also deleted.

Copied

You can create and use a limited number of empty spaces. Ajax space is empty when no Ajax hub, Ajax camera, Ajax NVR video recorder, or Yale smart lock is added.

You can create and use:

  • 100 empty spaces as a user,
  • 1000 empty spaces as a PRO or a company.

If a space is empty, you cannot arm it or use the panic button in Ajax apps.

You can still create and use an unlimited number of spaces with devices.

Copied

Yes, you can delete the offline hub from armed space. This can be helpful if the hub fails while the system is armed and there is no way to replace the hub using data transfer. If the hub is removed from the space, the user can continue to use Ajax cameras, Ajax NVR video recorder, and Yale smart lock added to the space.

Admin or Installer with system configuration rights can delete the offline hub from armed space.

To do this, in the Ajax apps:

  1. Select a space.
  2. Go to the Devices tab and select the hub you want to delete.
  3. Go to the hub settings by clicking on the gear icon .
  4. Tap Remove hub.

You can delete the offline hub from armed space if this hub is not connected to the monitoring station.

Copied

No, when the space is deleted (manually or automatically), its events are also deleted. You cannot restore it.

In pulse mode, Relay and Socket can close/open contacts for up to 255 seconds. In other cases, this function is not provided, since each scenario is a single action of the automation device. If one scenario enables the device, another scenario will be required for disabling, or you can disable it manually in the application.

Ajax security system allows you to configure the reaction of Relay, WallSwitch and Socket in response to an alarm or change in security mode, Button click, as well as scheduled actions. The scenario in which the automation device will respond is configured remotely via Ajax apps.

Use scenarios to automate your security system and reduce the number of routine actions. For example, set up water shut-off by alarm of the LeaksProtect leak detector, scheduled heater activation, or automatic clothing the electric lock when the system is being armed.

Two types of scenarios can be bound to SpaceControl, KeyPad Plus or KeyPad:

  1. by alarm;
  2. reaction to arming/disarming.

If you choose scenario by alarm, an automation device (Relay, WallSwitch or Socket) will be triggered by pressing SpaceControl or KeyPad panic button.

Also, the automation device can respond to arming/disarming using SpaceControl or KeyPad. However, in this case, the device will also respond to automatic arming/disarming according to the schedule or using the app. In this type of scenario, the determining factor will be the system status, not the control device.

  1. Open the Ajax app and go to the Devices tab.
  2. Select Button in the list of devices and go to settings by clicking on the gear icon .
  3. Select the needed mode (Panic or Control) in the Operating mode section.

The number of scenarios by alarm, Button press, and by schedule depends on the hardware capabilities of the hub: Hub (2G) Jeweller and Hub (4G) Jeweller support up to 5 scenarios, Hub 2 Jeweller and Hub Hybrid — up to 32, Hub Plus Jeweller and Hub 2 Plus Jeweller — up to 64.

At the same time, only one reaction to arming/disarming for every automation device can be created. Scenarios of this type are not included in the general limit of the scenarios.
