Ajax Security System for Wear OS smartwatch user manual

Updated

Ajax Security System for Wear OS smartwatch is an app that lets you control your Ajax system directly from your smartwatch. With this app, you can change the system’s security mode, raise a panic alarm, and receive push notifications — all without opening the Ajax app on your smartphone.

The Ajax PRO: Tool for Engineers app is available only for smartphones and not for smartwatches.

System requirements

Ajax Security System for Wear OS smartwatches is supported by devices with Wear OS 5.0 or later versions.

The Ajax app for Wear OS smartwatches operates only in pairs with Android smartphones. Smartphones running on operating systems other than Android are not supported.

Operating principle

Using the Ajax app for Wear OS smartwatch, you can perform general actions with your Ajax system. The app allows you to switch between spaces, arm/disarm the system and groups, activate Night mode, raise a panic alarm, receive push notifications, and more.

The Ajax app for Wear OS smartwatch works in pairs with the Ajax app on the Android smartphone. Both apps use the same Ajax account and continuously synchronize all actions and data with each other via the internet.

If the smartwatch is connected to Wi-Fi or a cellular network, you can use the Ajax app and receive push notifications on your smartwatch, even if you are not near your smartphone.

Unlike the mobile app, the Ajax app for a smartwatch does not allow you to perform various system configurations, manage privacy settings, view videos from cameras, etc. For more details, see the list below.

  • Creating or deleting spaces.
  • Adding, removing, or viewing devices, users, and rooms.
  • Managing privacy settings.
  • Changing settings for any device.
  • Creating or configuring automation scenarios.
  • Watching videos from cameras.
  • Opening and browsing the notification feed (only push notifications are available).
  • Opening user guides.

Logging in

During the first login, the Ajax app may ask for certain permissions for the app. We recommend providing the app with the requested permissions to ensure its full functionality.

Note that permission to use the device’s location is required for the app to send your smartwatch coordinates when sending a panic alarm.

To log in to the Ajax app on a Wear OS smartwatch:

  1. Ensure you are logged in to your Ajax account in the Ajax app on your smartphone.
  2. Open the Ajax app on a smartwatch.
  3. Tap Continue in the Ajax app on your smartwatch. Wait until the smartwatch syncs your account data with a mobile app. Once the data is synced, the system automatically logs in to your Ajax account on the smartwatch.

To log out of your Ajax account on the smartwatch, you can simply terminate its session in the mobile app:

  • Menu App settingsSessions

Note that if you log out or terminate the session in the Ajax app on your smartphone, you will automatically be logged out in the Ajax app on your smartwatch.
