How to export the alarm and event journal from the PRO Desktop app

PRO Desktop features the journal of all company objects’ alarms and events, which allows you to generate reports on the availability of hubs and CMS operators. The journal also contains information about the download of video fragments from the archive. Which allows you to monitor who downloaded which fragment, and when.

The app provides the ability to export the alarm and event journal. This option allows users to download the file in CSV format, which can contain up to 1,000 events.

The feature is available in PRO Desktop 4.8 or later versions.

Exporting the journal

To export the journal from the PRO Desktop app:

  1. Click the Journal tab.
  2. Click the Export records button in the lower left corner. If filters have been applied to the journal, they will also be applied when the journal is exported.

    If you use * or ? in the filter field for object number, the journal export feature will not be available.

  3. Click Download when the file is ready to download.
  4. Choose a location on your computer to save the file and click Save.

The alarm and event journal will be exported to the specified location.

Access rights

The Export records feature is available only when the PRO Desktop user has the appropriate access rights.

Provide access rights to export the alarm and event journal:

  1. Click the Company tab.
  2. Select the Access rights section.
  3. Select the user’s role from the options: Company owner, Senior CMS engineer, Engineer, Head of installers, Installer, Head of operators, or Operator.

    The Export records feature is not available for users with the Installer role.

  4. Enable the Export records from journal feature in the Service settings.
