FAQ

The identifier (ID) is the serial number of the device. It is located under the QR code on the body, board, and packaging of the device.

The ID can also be found in the device states in the Ajax app.

  1. Sign in to the Ajax app.
  2. Select the required hub from the list if you have several of them or if you are using a PRO app.
  3. Go to the Devices menu.
  4. Select a device from the list. Device ID information is located at the bottom of the status screen.

You can test the radio communication by pressing the device’s button.

To test SpaceControl, press the disarm button to avoid triggering an alarm. If the command is delivered, the LED will light up green. The red LED indicates that the command has not been delivered.

For Button, it’s better to enable Control mode and temporarily disable scenarios. After pressing the button, the green LED will indicate the delivery of the command. If Button’s LED lights up red — command has not been delivered.

To test DoubleButton, press one of two available buttons: the device will light up green (command was delivered) and then red (no alarm was raised). The LED will light up red twice if the command is not delivered.

To configure protection against accidental SpaceControl clicks, go to the device settings and in the Accidental press protection select the option you want — double or long (more than 1.5 seconds) pressing.

The function is supported by SpaceControl with a firmware version 5.54.1.0 or higher.

With OS Malevich 2.9 update, permanent deactivation of devices without removing them from the system has become available.

Deactivation may be necessary if the device is incorrectly installed or configured, loses connection with the hub, or has failed.

To deactivate a device, in the Ajax app:

  • Select a hub if you have several of them or if you are using the PRO app.
  • Go to the Devices menu.
  • Select the device from the list.
  • Go to its Settings .
  • Select the type of permanent deactivation:
    • Entirely — the device does not execute system commands or run automation scenarios, and the system ignores device alarms and other notifications.
    • Lid only — the system ignores the notifications on the detector’s tamper button triggering.

Without obstacles, the communication range between the hub and the device is up to 1,300 meters.

If key fob commands are not delivered to the security system, relocate the hub to minimize obstacles between the hub and the key fob.

If the key fob range is insufficient after relocation, use a security system radio signal range extenders

The QR code is on the lid of the key fob box. If you don’t have the box at hand, disassemble the key fob, separating the halves of the body via a thin flat object. You will find another QR code inside.

When using SpaceControl with Ajax hub, you can disable only the panic button. To disable the panic button:

Reassignment of the SpaceControl buttons is not provided. It is possible to adjust buttons’ settings to control the third-party central unit when SpaceControl is connected to it via ocBridge Plus.

You can’t assign the key fob to the several hubs. It can only work with one device it was assigned last.

Yes, you can. The keyfob is compatible with wired and wireless systems using Ajax ocBridge Plus or Ajax uartBridge.

Add a key fob to the receiver and assign buttons to the corresponding zones. The zones must be added to the 24-hour zones of the control panel.

Only one key fob button can be assigned to a single ocBridge Plus zone. When you select the type of zone “Arming/Disarming”, two buttons of the key fob are assigned to the zone at once (arming and disarming).

The loop (zone) number is required to describe all devices connected to the hub when adding a protected facility to the security company monitoring station.

The number is assigned when adding a device to the hub. The first added device has the first loop (zone) number. After removing the device from the system, its number becomes available. This number can be assigned to the next device to be added to the system.
